Welcome Statement

Welcome to the monthly meeting of the Texarkana IT Users Group. In accordance with our Charter this Welcome Statement is presented at the beginning of each meeting.

The primary purpose and focus of the membership is to create an environment where the collaborated efforts and energies of our individual associations in the IT world culminate in a more global pool of knowledge, experience, and resources. This coalition of information allows individual members the combined strength of the group as a whole. Ultimately the benefits derived from enhanced and strengthened members are carried back into the business community with increased value to both the individual member and their respective companies.

Although the only requirement for membership is an interest in the purpose and focus of the group as stated above, it is our desire that attendance of our meetings or other use of our membership list, contacts, or associations not be used solely as a platform for sales or contact information. Obviously Vendors will, from time to time, be a welcomed and an invited component of our meetings. It is our request that during such visits our purpose and focus be respected.

It is our hope that all attending will gain from a participation in our group activities according to these concepts and principles. With these concepts in mind we offer a cordial welcome to all.
